Ukrainians in Kyiv react to Trump’s call with Putin on peace plan

People in Kiyv have reacted with a mixture of anger and disappointment to US President Donald Trump reaching out to Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding potential peace negotiations, without committing to Ukraine’s involvement in the talks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, meanwhile, said he will not accept any negotiations over Ukraine that do not include his country. European governments also demanded a seat at the table.
