Kim Jong-un inaugurates Pyongyang apartment blocks with daughter Kim Ju-ae

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has appeared alongside his daughter, Kim Ju-ae, at a ceremony to inaugurate a new group of apartment blocks in the capital Pyongyang.

The visit took place on Tuesday, with state media releasing reports and footage of the event on Wednesday.

The housing development is part of a broader plan to expand Pyongyang, with officials calling it the largest construction programme in years.

The new area, known as Hwasong, is located on the outskirts of the capital and marks a significant step in the city’s urban development.
