“Everyone who is in the occupied territories is a hostage of the Russian regime,” Ukrainian journalist and human rights activist Maksym Butkevych, who spent over two years in Russian captivity, told Euronews.

According to a list provided by the Palestinian Authority’s Commission for Prisoners’ Affairs all of those released are women or minors.
Both men were named by activists and exiles as taking part in the execution of thousands of political prisoners in 1988 on the orders of Iran’s Supreme Leader.
